Welcome to the relaunched, streamlined, new-and-improved online home of Citizen Culture and With This Ring magazines.
Citizen Culture, my first baby, was launched in September 2004, and dedicated to delivering top-notch content to Young Professionals across the country and around the world. A year and a half later, we were the world’s first all-digital magazine, dubbed a "New Yorker for a New Generation" by the Boston Herald.
Our forthcoming magazine, With This Ring, aims to become another bastion of innovation, as the world’s first all-inclusive weddings magazine, with particular focus on GLBT weddings, interracial / interfaith weddings, destination weddings, maternity brides, and—truthfully—“Every Kind of Wedding.”
There is something romantic about the feel of a paper magazine—and I look forward to printing again soon. But for now, as my fellow editors and publishers realize (and, increasingly, so to politicians, entertainers, and everyone in between), we're going to focus on engaging and connecting our far-flung readers at the speed of technology.
On this site you’ll find an ever-expanding index of our previously published content, including the full text of selected stories, plus new articles and interviews.
Perhaps our most exciting new venture is the “Headline Interview Series,” featuring first-hand talks with some of our country's most influential movers —including current Presidential candidates. We've gained access to these headliners by refusing to make anyone look good or bad. Rather, we focus on honesty, integrity, and a open exchange of ideas, rather than a collection of meaningless sound bites. We'll be adding new conversations all the time, and if you think of anyone we should talk to, send me a tip!
